We are a growing Physical Therapy private practice seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Billing and Coding Specialist. Our practice thrives on providing exceptional care to our patients, and we are looking for a professional who shares our commitment to excellence.

Position Overview

As an Accounts Receivable Billing and Coding Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Revenue Cycle team. Your responsibilities will include filing medical claims, handling denials, managing patient collections, and assisting with provider credentialing. You will work with electronic and paper claims, post electronic payments, and navigate various insurance policies, including Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, and Commercial insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Submit electronic and paper claims

Process patient bills and post electronic payments

Work with Medicare, Worker’s Compensation, and Commercial insurance policies

Handle patient collections and manage claim denials

Assist in maintaining up-to-date provider credentialing

Ensure accurate and timely filing of medical claims


Proficiency in medical billing and coding

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with billing/coding changes

Experience in credentialing is a plus

Preferred Experience & Education

Minimum of 3 years in Medical Billing

Credentialing experience

Minimum of 2 years working with ICD-10

Medical billing certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience


Hourly pay rate starting at $18-20/hour, based on experience

Bonus pay and additional incentive bonuses
