Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Billing Specialist with a passion for accuracy and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, particularly in the medical legal space, including billing for workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. If you’re detail-oriented, knowledgeable about coding systems, and adept at navigating claims and denials, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Accurately code and bill medical procedures and services to facilitate timely reimbursement from insurance companies.

Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.

Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD-10 and other coding systems.

Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper in a timely manner.

Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues.

Communicate effectively with insurance companies, attorneys, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Stay updated on changes in medical coding and billing practices.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow within the billing department.

Requirements

Reside in Pennsylvania

Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role

Knowledge of the Medical Legal/Accident & Injury Space

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10), and medical billing processes

Familiarity with medical records management systems (EHR) and billing software

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Effective communication skills for interacting with stakeholders

Authorized to work in the US; background check required upon hire

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Compensation

$19-25/hr dependent on experience and knowledge

Healthcare Allowance stipend to choose your own healthcare plan from the market place

2 Weeks of PTO beginning after 4 months working with the company (*pro-rated, after review of 90-day probationary period)

3 Additional Paid Days for sick/doctor/mental health related purposes
