Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare providers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters. This role is essential in enhancing the efficiency of medical practices, particularly within a Level I Trauma Center and outpatient settings. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for capturing patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Duties
- Accurately document patient encounters in real-time during examinations and procedures.
- Record medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant patient information.
- Assist healthcare providers with medication administration documentation and any necessary systems updates.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with hospital policies and medical standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate effective patient care and communication.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and outpatient care protocols.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to enhance workflow efficiency within the medical team.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
- Experience or familiarity with working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar healthcare environment is preferred.
- Ability to accurately document patient information while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar documentation software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or patient care is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks.

Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour
